Privacy Policy

This site is operated by 2pdf.uk. It converts documents between file formats. This policy explains what happens to the files you upload and to the small amount of technical data a web server unavoidably sees.
The files you upload
Your file is sent to our server, converted, and sent back. Both copies are then deleted: the file you uploaded is removed as soon as the conversion finishes, and the converted file is removed once your download completes or the connection closes. This happens whether the conversion succeeded or failed.
Files are stored only for those few seconds, on the server's temporary disk, under a randomly generated name. They are not backed up, not indexed, not read by anyone, and not used to train anything. We cannot retrieve a file for you afterwards, because no copy remains.
Technical data
Your IP address is used to limit each visitor to 5 conversions per minute, which keeps the service available for everyone. It is held in memory for the length of that one-minute window and is not written to a database by this application. Our hosting and CDN providers keep their own short-lived access logs, as any web host does.
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking pixel on this site. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share data with anyone for marketing.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, named .AspNetCore.Antiforgery. It is a security cookie that
protects the upload form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no identifying information,
is not readable by scripts, is not sent to other sites, and disappears when you close your browser.
We set no other cookies.
Third parties
Three services receive data as a side effect of the page loading:
- Cloudflare sits in front of this site as a proxy and CDN. All traffic passes through it, including your IP address, so that it can filter abuse and serve pages quickly.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces. Your browser fetches them directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Stripe provides the payment button. Stripe's script loads on every page, not only when you pay, so Stripe receives your IP address on any visit. If you do make a payment, Stripe handles the card details entirely — they are never sent to or seen by this site.
Each of these companies processes that data under its own privacy policy.
Accounts and children
There are no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail to convert a file. The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. In practice there is very little to act on here: your files are already gone, and your IP address is not retained beyond the rate-limiting window. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
